This is a calm treatment for the jaw, temples, cheeks and neck. The area is small and the muscles are thin, so we work gently and slowly — this isn't a firm treatment, it's a precise one.
We start from the outside. When it helps, and with your permission, we also work from inside the mouth with clean gloves, since some of the jaw muscles are easier to reach that way. The inside part is short, and you can decline at any point — including partway through.
It can help the muscles in the area relax. Many people come when the jaw feels tight, the bite feels tense, or the morning starts with a heavy feeling around the jaw.
How the session goes
- We talk first about how the jaw feels and when the feeling is strongest
- We start with the neck and shoulders — that area is often connected to the jaw
- Then temples, cheeks and jaw gently, from the outside
- Inside the mouth briefly, if you give permission
- At the end we go through what you can do yourself at home
Good to know before the treatment
- Tell us if you have dentures, braces or a bite splint
- Tell us if your jaw has locked or clicks strongly
- Tell us if dental work is ongoing or the area has had a recent procedure
- The area may feel odd for a while afterwards — it passes
- Eat lightly beforehand, not on a full stomach
- Bring lip balm if your lips dry out easily
This treatment doesn't replace an assessment by a dentist or doctor. If the jaw locks, the pain is severe, or symptoms have lasted a long time, please talk to a dentist. The treatment works well alongside dental care.

45 min is enough once the treatment is familiar to you. For a first visit, 60 min gives time to talk without rushing and to work through the neck and shoulders as well.

Frequently asked
What does working from inside the mouth mean?
Some of the jaw muscles are easier to reach from inside the mouth than through the cheeks. We use clean disposable gloves, and this part is short — a few minutes at a time, not the whole session.
We always ask permission separately, and you can decline at any point. The treatment works from the outside alone too, so do say if that feels better.
Does it hurt?
The area is small and the muscles are thin, so we work gently. A tight spot can feel tender under pressure, but the treatment isn't meant to hurt. Say straight away if the pressure feels too firm — we adjust it immediately.
How does it feel afterwards?
The area may feel odd or tired for a while, a bit like after talking for a long time. The feeling usually passes during the same day. It's worth drinking water and eating softer food that day if the jaw feels tired.
What if I have a bite splint?
Not a problem at all — just mention it at the start. The treatment works well alongside a splint. Bring it with you if you like, and we can look together at how it feels in the mouth.
Which length would suit me?
For a first visit, 60 min is better — there's time to talk without rushing and to work through the neck and shoulders too, which are connected to the jaw more often than you'd think. Once the treatment is familiar, 45 min is plenty.
How often should I come?
That's entirely your own choice. We don't recommend any particular rhythm — come when it feels right.
Does this replace a visit to the dentist?
No. We don't make diagnoses and we don't treat teeth. If the jaw locks, the pain is severe, or symptoms have lasted a long time, please talk to a dentist. The treatment works well alongside dental care.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the treatment. You can cancel through the link in your booking confirmation, or by sending a message on WhatsApp.
