Thai massage

Thai massage is a form of massage done without oils and without undressing. We work through your clothes, combining calm stretches with pressure along the body's lines — using palms and thumbs.

The pace is calm, but the treatment is more active than classic massage: we lift and turn limbs, assist with stretches and move the joints. You don't need to do anything yourself — it's enough to let your body stay relaxed and go along with it.

Moving may feel lighter and freer afterwards. Good when the body feels stiff and wants movement.

  • Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in — no jeans or belts
  • No oils and no undressing at any point
  • Stretches are done unhurried and within your own range of movement
  • Say at any point if a stretch feels like too much — we adjust right away

Head massage

Head massage is the shorter treatment from the same tradition, focused on the scalp, temples, neck and shoulders. We work with fingertips and palms in calm, even movements.

It's done without oils and fully clothed, so your hair stays neat and there's no need to go home and wash afterwards. You can be seated or lying on your back, whichever feels more comfortable.

Good as a short break mid-day or after a day at the screen, when your neck and head feel heavy.

  • No oils — your hair stays neat
  • Fully clothed, no undressing
  • Seated or lying down, whichever suits you
  • Fits a lunch break and the end of a working day

Head massage is not the same as Asian Head Spa. In head massage there's no hair washing and no water, masks or steam — it's massage for the scalp and neck. If you're looking for a treatment that includes a hair wash, hair mask and blow dry, see Asian Head Spa.

Tell us before the treatment if you're pregnant, have had recent surgery or a fracture, if your joints hyperextend easily, or if there's acute pain in your back or neck that hasn't been examined. If you'd rather skip stretches, we'll do the Thai massage with pressure work instead. If symptoms have lasted a long time or feel severe, it's worth talking to a doctor as well.

Frequently asked

Is head massage the same as Asian Head Spa?

No. Head massage is massage for the scalp, temples, neck and shoulders — without oils, without water, and your hair stays neat.

Asian Head Spa is a longer treatment that includes a hair wash, hair mask, steam and blow dry. If that's what you're after, see the Asian Head Spa page.

What should I wear for Thai massage?

Comfortable, stretchy clothes that are easy to move in — jogging bottoms and a t-shirt work well. Avoid jeans, belts and tight clothing, as they restrict the stretches.

For head massage you can come straight from work as you are — there's no movement of that kind.

Does Thai massage hurt?

It isn't meant to. Stretches are done within your own range of movement — we don't take a joint further than it naturally goes. A tight spot can feel intense in a stretch, but that's different from pain.

Say at any point if a stretch feels like too much — we adjust it right away.

Do I need to be flexible?

Not at all. Stiffness is the most common reason people come to Thai massage, not a reason to stay away. The stretches are fitted to the range of movement you have, and you don't need to do anything yourself.

Will head massage mess up my hair?

No. The treatment is done without oils, so your hair stays neat. Your styling may get a little ruffled, but there's nothing to wash out — plenty of people come for head massage on a lunch break and head back to work afterwards.

Can I stay seated for head massage?

Yes. The treatment can be done seated or lying on your back, whichever feels more comfortable for you. Just say which you'd prefer at the start.

What if I'd rather skip the stretches?

Just say so at the start. We'll do the Thai massage with pressure work along the body's lines instead, without stretches. Plenty of people like it just as much.

Are these treatments suitable during pregnancy?

Do mention the pregnancy when booking. Some Thai massage stretches and positions aren't suitable during pregnancy, so we choose the techniques accordingly. Head massage is generally fine. If yours is a high-risk pregnancy, please check with your maternity clinic first.

How does it feel afterwards?

After Thai massage, moving may feel lighter and freer. The next day you might notice a mild after-feeling in the muscles, a bit like after light exercise — it passes. After head massage you usually feel lighter straight away, with hardly any after-feeling.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the treatment. You can cancel through the link in your booking confirmation, or by sending a message on WhatsApp.

How can I pay?

Payment cards, MobilePay, and ePassi, Smartum and Edenred benefit vouchers. We're unable to accept cash.
